MJF on impending free agency in January 2024

On January 1, 2024, the current All Elite Wrestling Heavyweight Champion MJF will be a free agent. Wrestling fans worldwide have grown to love or hate MJF on a larger stage since the launch of AEW in 2019. From his ruthless antics in the ring to brash promos, the AEW champion has firmly placed a target on his back and is one of the hottest names in professional wrestling.

Ahead of AEW’s All In event on August 27, 2023, from Wembley Stadium, Adam Cole and MJF appeared on First We Feast’s “Truth or Dab, where you have to answer hard-hitting questions or take a bite of a chicken wing tossed in a scorching sauce, branded as, “The Last Dab.”

“They better back up the goddamn Brinks truck, ok pal? Realistically, I know that there is going to be a lot of money thrown my way from both sides. I am not accepting anything under seven figures. I won’t even make eye contact with a contract that is under seven figures,” MJF told First We Feasts’ Sean Evans when asked about the potential bidding war at the beginning of the year.

MJF seems to be a made man in All Elite Wrestling. However, many think he may be willing to jump ship to the WWE and see if he can climb the ladder to superstardom in yet another company. MJF and Cole are the headliners for AEW’s All In, which will see the largest crowd on hand for a professional wrestling event in the history of the sport when over 80,000 fans pack Wembley Stadium.
